This development is one phase of a much larger development. The open space provided primarily consists of retained woodlands on the periphery of the development which connect to wooded areas outside the development. A sprayfield within the wooded area provides on-site wastewater disposal for the development. Although minimal open space is provided within the development (as opposed to along the periphery), it does have many recreation amenities for residents. A paved trail that weaves throughout the entire development connects residents to a community center with playground, a pool, clubhouse, and sport courts.
Sidewalks are provided on one side of the street; however, in a development of this size and density sidewalks on both sides of the street likely would have been beneficial. Planted medians within the development's main thoroughfare serve as a gateway feature into the development that slow traffic and beautify the roadway. A meadow area sits opposite the pool complex, providing an attractive view and benefits for wildlife.
A mix of unit types are provided within this development. Several historic dwellings remain on the property but are not inhabited. However, a historic barn was rehabilitated and adaptively reused as a community center for the development.

Sidewalks are provided on one side of the street only, though street trees were planted along both sides of each street. In this denser context with amenities within walking distance, sidewalks along both sides of the street might have been appropriate.
A historic barn on the site was restored and is now being used as a community center, an example of successful adaptive reuse.
Planted median islands mark the entrance to the development, offering a visual cue to vehicles to slow down while also beautifying the streetscape.
