Annual Housing Forum
Started in 2019, the Housing Forum is an annual event to share information and best practices regarding housing in Chester County. Topics addressed include the need for affordably priced housing, the A+ Homes initiative, housing for an aging population, and more.
Housing Forum — November 30 2023
The 2023 Housing Forum is scheduled for Thursday, November 30, from 4:00-5:30 p.m. The Forum will be a hybrid event available via Zoom or in person at the Government Services Center in Room 351 at 601 Westtown Road, West Chester. Speakers scheduled to talk about their experience in discussing the need for housing with both residents and elected officials include:
- Burt Rothenberger — Citizen advocacy
- Laura Manion, Chester County Chamber of Commerce — The business of housing
- Luke Zubrod, Square Roots Collective — Moving government to action
- Anne Leavitt-Gruberger, Montgomery County Planning Commission and Kayleigh Silver, MSS, Montgomery County Housing and Community Development — Housing language for local governments
- Libby Horwitz, Chester County Planning Commission — Closing remarks

A+ Homes Forum — November 18, 2021
The Chester County Planning Commission hosted the 2021 Housing Forum, "What's our type? Missing Middle typologies to meet housing needs" on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Presentations focused on local Missing Middle typologies and approaches for municipalities to encourage Missing Middle Housing.
A+ Homes Forum — November 17 and 19, 2020
The 2020 A+ Homes Forum was held on Tuesday, November 17 and Thursday, November 19. The forum took part in two sessions, with the first discussing housing for an aging population, and the second discussing housing construction costs.
